According to NKSIS’ senior source, last early November Kim Jong Un said “Jang Song Thaek is a ‘very bad person.’” after receiving Jang’s corruption report, which is related to the purge, at the Central Party Political Department’s standing committee (a committee of high officials and officers from Homeland Security Department).
It is confirmed by another NKSIS’ source that from the Central Organization Service of Homeland Security Department and main security officers already received the word, also known as Kim Jong Un’s “saying”,.
A professional task force team, orientated by Kim Jong Un and Kim Kyung Hui, has conducted an internal investigation into Song Thaek and his close allies and the behind-the-scenes activities to oust Jang over 14 months from August 2012 to present.
Based on NKSIS’ examination on the Jang’s purge in detail, the executive officers of the purge were led by first deputy of military division Kim Kyoung Ok, who was recommended by both Kim Jong Un and Kim Kyung Hui. It is known that the TF team included first deputy of Worker’s Party Leadership devision Cho Yun Joon, deputy of military division Min Byoung Chul, and deputy of Office 6 Kim Jong Eun.
In addition to this, the fact that absolute secrecy was observed while Kim Jong Chol, former deputy chief of a leadership division of the Workers' Party, took the ‘villain’ reveals the level of preparation for the continence of the “Kim Dynasty”.
According to the NKSIS’ source, the decisive motive behind the purge is the charge of placing Jang’s people in the key positions in the Worker’s Party, military, and the Cabinet when Jang Song Thaek was the deputy of Worker’s Party administration. It was August 17, 2008, when Kim Il Sung fell down and Jang got the “doorknob power” accordingly. Furthermore, Jang fabricated documents and manipulated evidence to wind Lee Jhe Kang and Lee Yong Chul, deputies of a leadership division, round his fingers but accused those who opposed him unjustly and even eliminated them.
Having been reported about these, Kim Jong Un described Jang Song Thaek as “a very bad person” at the standing committees where the ouster was discussed, and reportedly the related divisions and offices heard the saying. Besides, the purge was predicted in NKSIS’ published book Kim Jong Il’s Will and Kim Jong Un’s future (2012) which described Jang Song Thaek as “who is an antiparty element and does sectarian acts with his guys”
