NKSIS holds an academic seminar with a theme on “North Korean Byungjin Line and the Dilemma of China's Nuclear Policy toward North Korea” on 8thOct ,from 14:30 to 17:30 at Seoul Press Center,19th floor of Meawha Hall.The Seminar is sponsored by The National Unification Advisory Council, Yangcheon-gu Council, March 1 Movement Memorial Organization and Shilheng Central Council .
During the Seminar Kim, Jin–Tae (the National Assembly member), Im,Gyeong-ha(President of NUAC Yangcheon-gu Council), Song,Dae-seong (Director of the Institute for Sejong Studies) are expected to give special greetings.Presentations and discussion are divided into two sessions.In the first session,Ham Hyeong-pil (Researcher of KIDA), Lee,Seung-ryeol (Researcher of EIUS),Lee,Sang-min (Correspondent of the Foreign Office) and Jeon,Hyeon-jun(Lead Researcher of KINU) will lead a discussion with a them on “North Korean Byungjin Line and prospect of Kim,Jong-un's System”.
In the second session,Kim Honggyu.(Professor of Political Diplomacy,Sungshin Women’s University),Jeong Gyeong-young (Chairman of International Institute for East Asian Strategic studies) ,Yun-keol Lee(Chairman Of NKSIS) and Kim Jin-woo (Senior Researcher Of KIDA) are expected to participate in the discussion with the subject of “Dilemma and Prospect of China's Nuclear Policy toward North Korea”.Besides,audience question time is to be arranged.Therefore,we anticipate active participation of many scholors, specialists and mass media organizations.
In particular, the seminar is expected to provid policy implication which will help make corresponding strategic choice on North korea’s relationship with China and United States.
Considering present point, we can not expect North korea’s denuclearization mearly through dialogue since China’s nuclear policy toward North Korea is considered as crucial varience.
The seminar will concentrate upon the subject of North Korean “Byungjin Line” and Dilemma of China's Nuclear Policy toward North Korea.At the same time, It will provide suggestions on how to make South korea to play a leading role in the North Korea’s Nuclear issue .
