In Kim Jong-il’s top secret handwritten letter that he sent to military equipment related organizations, which this paper recently acquired, the North Korean army’s operation plan to hit the US military bases in Japan and the US Pacific Fleet before hitting the strategic base of the US army and the Korean army in South Korea if there is to be a surprise attack by the North Korean army was specifically written.
Through the handwritten letter, Kim Jong-il emphasized that “Preparations to check the US and Japan are still insufficient(preparation of rockets and warheads)” and “If there is to be war, South Korea is not a problem at all. Preparations to destroy US military bases in Japan and the US Pacific Fleet should be made smoothly” in the part where he stressed about hitting the US·Japan·South Korea to handle the provocation of war just in case.
Analysis of Kim Jong-Il’s instruction shows that the North Korean army is regrading the power of South Korean soldiers and preparation of operation in terms of strategies and tactics as very childish. At the same time, in the aspect of confirming that what the current North Korean army fears is the US army, the reliability and importance of the contents of this document is noted. Moreover, it is also a document that verifies a precondition that a situation in which the Japan Self-Defense Forces intervene is inevitable when the North Korean army provokes a war on the Korean peninsula.
This paper’s North Korean army related high-level source had also confirmed that the North Korean army will hit bases in Okinawa, Japan and the US army’s air and region where they fire strategic arms first when there is an outbreak of war.
This is a content that reconfirms the ‘Kim family’s traditional theory of reunification through force’, in other words, ‘Theory of reunification, North Korea being the superiority’ once more which also became known through the will that was opened after Kim Jong-Il’s death that this paper made public last April.
Meanwhile, in the situation in which various stern remarks related to North Korea’s recent provocations on the South are pouring, it is interpreted that these documents should be given special attention in the aspect that they make the South Korean army think about how thoroughly they should prepare for North Korea’s provocation once more.
